Experience: Cody has three years of experience working as a civil engineering intern and project engineer at NGE-TFT. This experience includes a variety of geotechnical and civil engineering design projects including foundation design, asphalt mix design, asphalt and concrete pavement section design, retaining wall design, foundation drainage system design, reinforced concrete dam design, and basin/reservoir hydrology. Cody has Alaskan field experience and has coordinated and performed geotechnical investigations in both urban and bush settings in Alaska from as far south as Chignik Bay to as far north as Fairbanks. Cody actively participates with field inspections and in the materials testing laboratory and can perform a wide range of geotechnical laboratory testing and analyses as well as quality control inspections. As a project manager, Cody has conducted several geotechnical engineering studies, reservoir hydrology studies, and feasibility studies for multi-million dollar projects including a rural water distribution system and a rural water supply dam. Cody is proficient with AutoCAD and is highly skilled at programming Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for performing complex engineering analyses. Cody received his Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University in August of 2009 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Arctic Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
