Experience: Keith Mobley has 28 years experience as a geotechnical engineering consultant in Alaska in addition to 4 years of experience in California. In Alaska, his experience ranges from single-family home foundation projects to multi-million dollar design and construction projects. His work includes design and inspection of dams, high-rise building foundations, seismic stability analyses, pipeline re-leveling and re-insulation, and FEA applications using individual thermal and hydraulic analyses as well as coupled thermal/ground water flow analyses. He has managed consultation work for landfills, pipelines, sheet pile dock facilities, mines, and pavement section designs. He specializes in cold regions geotechnical engineering, marginal permafrost stability, frozen and thawed geotechnical materials testing, and construction quality assurance monitoring.
Keith is responsible for the general management of NGE-TFT and provides technical support for his employees and clients. He is a long-standing member of the Municipality of Anchorage Geotechnical Advisory Commission, and a member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), EERI (Earthquake Engineering Research Institute), ASFE (American Society of Foundation Engineers) and EWB (Engineers Without Borders). Outside his professional activities, he is active in the Boy Scouts of America, is an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow.
