Ron Caron, C.E.T.

RonExperience: Ron Caron has been involved with construction materials testing and engineering project management for over 30 years.  Ron’s responsibilities include training technicians, reviewing test results, and the daily management of the laboratory.  He has constructed and managed remote materials testing laboratories on several large construction projects throughout Alaska.  Ron takes an active role ensuring the high quality of work performed in the laboratory and in the field is maintained.  He is a Certified Engineering Technician (CET) as defined by the National Institute Certification of Engineering Technologies (NICET). Ron is also WAQTC qualified in Concrete, Asphalt, Aggregate, and Embankment and Base. 

Mr. Caron was the head technician for the long-term ice creep laboratory testing program. His duties included developing and calibrating the apparatus used for testing, preparation of the frozen samples for testing, control of the cold room temperature environment, performing the laboratory tests, and data collection and tabulation. In addition to this test program, he has been the lead technician for frozen sample testing for over 20 years.
